Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch?
by Rufus Curnow, UK
exhibit Nr.546
Description: Receipt of a lunch I didn't have to pay for.
Comments/Origin: One Sunday afternoon my girlfriend and I took a walk from Cambridge to Fen Ditton, a nearby village, for lunch.
We arrived at The Plough and, despite the fact it was January in England, decided to take advantage of the glorious sunshine and sit outside. We ordered our food and sat outside waiting for our orders to arrive. After we'd finished our drinks, our food still hadn't arrived and it was starting to get cold. We went inside and enquired as to the whereabouts of our food and were given an apology as they had forgotten about us.
Fifteen minutes later our food arrived, along with a cash refund for the money spent.
